Pernille Fabricius appointed new CFO of Getinge Group

Press release December 22, 2015

Pernille Fabricius appointed new CFO of Getinge Group

Getinge Group has appointed Pernille Fabricius as new Chief Financial Officer of Getinge Group. Pernille will be part of the Getinge Executive Team and will succeed Ulf Grunander, who has decided to retire from his position after 23 years as CFO of Getinge.

“I am very pleased to welcome Pernille to the Group. She has a strong track record in terms of growing businesses, restructuring initiatives, shared service set-ups and M&As,” says Alex Myers, President & CEO Getinge Group. “Pernille will be a great asset in the transformation we are currently undertaking,” concludes Alex.

Pernille Fabricius brings a broad finance toolbox with solid international experience from all areas of the CFO function. She most recently served as an independent advisor to Silverfleet Capital among others. Previously, she has served as Global CFO of Damco International (part of AP Møller Maersk), Group CFO and Partner of TMF Group and Senior Vice President of ISS World Services A/S. Pernille is a Danish citizen and has been based in such cities as London, Dubai and the Hague. She holds an MSc in Auditing and Accounting, an MSc in Finance, an MBA and a LLM in European Union Law from CBS in Copenhagen and Leicester University in the UK. Pernille will assume her new position as CFO of Getinge Group on February 22, 2016.

“It’s an honor to take on the position of Chief Financial Officer at Getinge Group during an extremely exciting period at the company,” says Pernille Fabricius.

After 23 years as CFO, Ulf Grunander has decided to retire from his position. Ulf will continue to contribute to the Group as a senior advisor up until the 2016 Annual General Meeting.

Alex Myers comments:
“Ulf has been of considerable importance to Getinge for many years and has been a cornerstone in developing Getinge into a global medical device company with world-leading positions. I would like to express my gratitude to Ulf for his professional and dedicated work. I am especially grateful to have had Ulf by my side since I joined the company as CEO in March this year. He has been a solid partner in setting the future plan for the company and has contributed his extensive experience and expertise
throughout the process.”

“The decision to retire from Getinge has by no means been an easy one. However, after 23 great years with Getinge, it’s now the right time for a new chapter in my life and spend more time with my family,” says Ulf Grunander. “I wish Pernille the best of luck in her new role as CFO at Getinge.”
