Used routinely, the wash monitors provide independent verification that the cleaning process is consistently providing the desired cleaning result.

Wash monitors/indicators are used both to verify the result of the pre-cleaning – for instance using an ultrasonic cleaner indicator, but also to assure the main cleaning and disinfection process performed in a washer-disinfector was satisfactory.
A Protein test could preferably be used at the inspection of instruments to further detect protein residues on single cleaned and disinfected instruments – which would not be visible to the naked eye, for instance inside lumen instruments and endoscopes. With an instant protein reaction, these tests are quick and easy to use and can detect residual protein down to 1 microgram in less than 10 seconds. Synthetic Test soil can be used in order to simulate a ”real situation” when undergoing a validation or type testing a washer-disinfector or ultrasonic product.

Overview
Monitoring all phases of the wash process
Our wash monitoring indicators perform routine process performance tests in washer-disinfectors. They monitor all phases of the wash process, including proper spray arm operation, water impingement, proper detergent selection and levels, water temperature and washer loading. Monitoring each shelf of each washer-disinfector enables you to ensure that all facets of the machine are operating properly and that efficient cleaning is achieved. The indicator is inserted into a reusable Wash Monitor Holder and placed face up in a tray.
The indicator is designed to meet the requirements of EN ISO15883.

Wash Monitor U/L · Ultrasonic/Lumen Test
For use in ultrasonic cleaners / irrigators.
Overview
Providing assurance and a traceable record
The Getinge Assured Ultrasonic Wash Monitor U/L checks the cleaning efficiency of lumen instruments in the ultrasonic cleaner. The test is inserted in a re-usable Wash Monitor F Holder to simulate flexible lumen instrument and into the Wash Monitor R Holder to simulate rigid lumen instruments. It is then placed in the ultrasonic cleaner.
Consistent with ISO 15883, routine monitoring of washer-disinfectors.

Test Soil
Synthetic test soil formulated with protein, lipids and polysaccharides to mimic surgical soil.
Overview
Synthetic Test soil simulating a “real situation”
Used as a process challenge in the commissioning of washer-disinfectors, Getinge Assured Test Soil is applied to instruments and allowed to dry. After drying, the instruments are washed accordingly and then inspected for cleanliness. If no test soil is visible after the wash process, the process is proven to be efficient.
All Getinge tests are designed in accordance with EN ISO 15883.
