The global challenge
The possibility to provide people with effective, high-quality health care is a major challenge in most countries. The combination of increasing populations and longer life expectancies increases the pressure on health care systems.
Getinge is committed to finding solutions to these challenges and thereby enhancing the quality of life for people. We do this by providing our customers with the necessary knowledge, technology and resources to gain optimal clinical outcomes and, ultimately, to save lives.
Making sure that all employees feel engaged, empowered and encouraged to contribute is a key objective for Getinge. Building a proud global organization is in line with the company’s intention to inspire employees to develop and do their best. Our new Performance Development Process replaces traditional annual reviews with regular feedback, conversation and clear objective setting.

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) aims to identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities. Getinge Canada is committed to complying with the accessibility standards defined within the AODA, by providing accessible content, information and services to people with disabilities.

Getinge has renewed our three-year engagement in Pratham, the first major organization to achieve lasting, wide-scale success in India's educational landscape. The cooperation with Pratham is based on our strong belief that education is a powerful way out of poverty. Getinge contributes through the initiative ‘Swedish Industry for Quality Education in India’, which focuses on helping children in the Assam region learn to read and count.
Every person around the world deserves to be treated with dignity and equality. Our dedication to human rights, regardless of where in the world we operate, is established in our Code of Conduct and Human Rights Policy. Any Getinge employee who suspects violations of our policy is expected to speak up, and the company is committed to investigate and act appropriately.
Access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene are some of the most basic and crucial requirements for hospitals to provide sustainable health care and lower the risks of spreading bacteria and viruses. It might sound like a given but in fact one out of four health care facilities globally lack access to clean water. As a result, hundreds of millions of people each year are affected by health care accuired infections. That is why Getinge and WaterAid has partnered up to strengthen access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene at health care facilities around the world.
