Servo-air® Ventilator

Personalized ventilation meets high mobility

Like all Servo ventilators, Servo-air® is a critical-care device that comes with unique tools for personalizing lung protection and weaning. An added benefit is that Servo-air® is a turbine-driven ventilator with powerful battery backup, making it easy to move around the hospital without requiring wall gas or power outlets. Whether needed for pediatrics or adults, invasive or non-invasive therapy, it frees you up to perform.

Overview

Intuitive. Powerful. Customizable.

The intuitive interface of the Servo-air

Intuitive means easy to use

Easy to learn, use and get started with, Servo-air® comes with hardware and software features that instinctively meet your needs. On-screen context-based instructions, with clear images and text, guide you through preparation, setup, running and weaning. Embedded therapeutic workflows also ensure safe operation and adherance to hospital protocols. All to make your life easier.

Servo-air turbine

Powerful means reliable, non-stop performance

Servo-air® moves with you, avoiding any interruptions to change ventilators, systems, batteries or air cylinders. The powerful turbine is validated to last 50,000 hours, or 10 years. Backup power is provided by up to two hot-swappable batteries. Use it for invasive or non-invasive ventilation without changing breathing circuits. And our High Flow therapy option avoids the need for a stand-alone system.

Pendant mounted Servo-air

Customizable means supporting personalized ventilation

Every patient comes with unique challenges. And every clinician has their own working preferences. Servo-air® is designed with both in mind. Not only does it comes with a tiltable, fold-down screen and other flexible features, it lets you tailor your patient’s treatment. Personalization tools such as Automode®, Servo Compass® and High Flow therapy ensure smooth transitions and treatments adapted to individual needs for better outcomes.

Servo-air hot swappable battery

Mobility gives added flexibility

Robust yet versatile, Servo-air® is designed to be moved around the hospital, providing ICU-level support for pediatrics or adults where you need it. The batteries are easy to exchange in transit, while the turbine ensures constant air flow. If needed, High Flow therapy can also be switched on and used together with our built-in Aerogen® nebulizer. In other words, a versatile solution for invasive or non-invasive care in the ICU, intermediate care or intra-hospital transit.

Servo-air uptime

Cost-efficient critical care

This easy-to-use critical-care ventilator includes many of the personalization tools of our top-end Servos, with an eye to cost-efficiency. High-quality components ensure a long lifetime and low maintenance. Few parts require cleaning. Our expiratory cassettes are also interchangeable with our Servo-u ventilator. All in all, reliable performance, high uptime, potentially less training (due to on-screen instructions) and the reduced need for different ventilators, contribute to cost-effective ownership.

Servo familiarity

Simplifying service and usability

To reduce the lifecycle operational costs of your equipment, Servo-air shares many of the components, interfaces, patient cassettes and handy service structures of our Servo-u® ventilator. A similar look, feel and serviceability promotes great efficiency across the fleet. If you are already using a Servo, you will quickly recognize many of the settings. And of course, should any questions arise, our qualified service team is always on hand to support you.

Weaning

Automode® seamlessly switches between controlled and supported ventilation modes, potentially facilitating spontaneous breathing and weaning. The 72-hour trend overview helps you evaluate the optimal next steps.

Servo-air COMPASS interface

Rated highly by professionals

The Servo-air® shares user interface commonalities with our Servo-u® critical care ventilator. In a usability study, Servo-u® was rated the highest compared to other evaluated ventilators, with 6.8 out of 7 (98%) for ease of use.[1] We continue to build on this outstanding usability heritage in Servo-air®.

Features

Powerful turbine technology for reliable performance

A common challenge with some turbine-driven ventilators is the lack of power to deliver constant flow and high pressure over a sustained time period. Interruptions may occur due to a need to switch devices, modes, batteries, cylinders – or even to replace a broken turbine. Servo-air® delivers steady ICU-level performance and flow with unusually high power.

A key factor behind the uninterrupted flow is our patented turbine technology, which is designed to be powerful yet gentle and quiet. The high-performing Servo-air®turbine is capable of generating adequate air pressure and flow to support a wide range of patients, from pediatrics to adults. Like all Servo ventilators, it automatically adjusts the pressure and flow to compensate for the presence of any potential circuit leakage. Turbine lifetime is guaranteed to 50,000 hours, or ten years.

Now you can tailor your ventilation strategies for any patient and every breath as you move around.

Servo-air® features a wide range of well-proven Servo tools for personalized lung protection and weaning on the go. It facilitates ease of use at bedside and during intra-hospital transit.

Servo-air screen positions

Adjustable screen

Servo-air® features an adjustable screen that can be tilted up or down to suit your height and avoid unwanted reflections. You can also fold it down for protection during transit.

Ease of use

Context-based guidance

Servo-air makes it easy to get started and builds confidence with every use. The context-based guidance supports you throughout pre-use check, initial parameter setting and the entire treatment.

Alarm Management

Alarm management

The alarm management system includes short descriptions to help you respond to alarms. And highlights let you know what values are affected while shortcuts take you directly to what needs to be changed.

Goal-directed ventilation

Goal-directed ventilation and smooth transitions give you the ability to personalize the ventilation therapy for each patient. The VT/PBW helps you set and monitor lung-protective ventilation for each patient, supporting more individualized care. Automode® switches between controlled and supported ventilation depending on patient effort, providing smoother patient transition to spontaneous breathing with less staff intervention.

Servo-air high flow therapy

High Flow therapy

The High Flow therapy in Servo-air® can be used in both invasive or non-invasive ventilation. When switching on this mode, our intuitive on-screen workflows guide the implementation to help secure continuous ventilation support. Our integrated Aerogen® nebulizer technology can also be used during High Flow therapy as well as in invasive and non-invasive ventilation.

The Servo-air COMPASS interface

Servo Compass®

Servo Compass® makes it easy to see when plateau/driving pressure or tidal volume per predicted body weight (VT/PBW) are off pre-defined target and intervention is needed. Staff are then provided with a notification that further adjustments are required. This enables you monitor and assess your lung-protective strategy with every breath.

Building on a legacy of ventilation performance

The entire Getinge Servo ventilator family is designed to optimize the interaction between patient and ventilator for better comfort and performance.
Servo-air® is no different.
Getinge Servo-air in the ICU

Non-invasive ventilation

Gentle non-invasive ventilation (NIV) reduces the need for patient sedation and a separate NIV ventilator. With a sensitive trigger and gentle flow, and due to the silent turbine technology, you can help keep your patients comfortably ventilated.

Invasive ventilation

The combination of high-flow and high-pressure with a precise and accurate delivery allows you to ventilate adult and pediatric patients. With the availability of various modes, you have the possibility to adapt to any patient situation.

Servo-air

On-screen VT/PBW

The tidal volume per kilogram of predicted body weight is an important parameter which is known to affect patient survival. It is automatically calculated and trended, allowing you to set and monitor the correct tidal volume for each patient.

Servo-air automode

Automode®

Automode® is an interactive ventilation mode. It switches between controlled and supported ventilation depending on patient effort, providing a smoother transition to spontaneous breathing with less need for staff intervention.
