Ventilation
Intensive care ventilators. A primary option for treatment of COVID-19 patients in the ICU
Intensive care ventilators are normally found in the hospital Intensive Care Unit. This category of ventilators supports lung-protective ventilation recommended by several international guidelines and the World Health Organization (WHO). An intensive care ventilator must be considered as the primary option during the monitoring and treatment of COVID-19 patients in the ICU.
This whitepaper outlines the functions of ICU ventilators as primary COVID-19 patient monitoring and support as compared to transport/emergency ventilators and non-invasive (NIV) ventilation.

Use of longer panel cables for Servo ventilators
In response to recent inquiries, we have designed a longer user interface cable for use between the patient unit and user interface module of the Servo-u and Servo-n ventilator systems. Details of this emergency use cable and its availability may be found in this letter.
